Preparing Your Home for a Bathroom Renovation
Embarking on a bathroom renovation is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. One of the most crucial steps is properly preparing your home for the construction process. At Magic Reno, we understand the importance of protecting your space and minimizing disruption. This guide outlines the comprehensive measures we take to ensure a smooth and stress-free renovation experience.
Protecting Your Home:
We treat your home with the utmost respect. Our team takes extensive precautions to safeguard your property and maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the renovation.
- Floor Protection: We use Guardia self-adhesive protective matting rolls along all pathways leading to and from the bathroom. These mats provide superior protection against foot traffic, debris, and spills.
- Furniture and Railing Coverage: Nearby furniture and railings are carefully covered with lightweight polymer sheeting. We use painter’s tape that leaves no residue upon removal, ensuring your belongings remain in pristine condition.
- Dust Containment: We employ advanced dust control systems to maintain air quality and minimize mess. This includes self-adhesive zipper walls to isolate the work area and HEPA-filtered Wet/Dry vacuums to capture dust and debris.
- Workspace Isolation: We establish designated work zones and seal off the renovation area to minimize disruption to the rest of your home.
- Debris Management: We ensure that all debris and waste are promptly removed, leaving your home clean and tidy at the end of each workday. A 14-yard dumpster (bin) is provided for efficient debris removal.

Debris Removal Costs:
- 14-yard dumpster (bin) rental (up to 2 tons of debris, 3-week rental): $650
- Additional weight: $150 per ton
If bin placement is not feasible, debris will be securely packed in durable bags, stacked in 75-liter (20-gallon) trash cans to prevent tearing, and transported to the landfill. We will discuss the best option for your property with you.
